To you, beautiful soul,
We are hours out from a Super Flower Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius and before I overwhelm with Astrological jargon here is a few brief descriptions to help put things into context.
Super Moon: A super moon occurs when a full moon and new moon is within 90% of perigee. Which essentially means that it is closer to Earth than usual. This astrologically adds to the potency.
Full Moon: The Sun is currently Gemini the opposite sign to Sagittarius. Therefore, the Sun fully illuminates our moon to create a beautiful glowing circle in the sky.
Lunar Eclipse A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth, sun and moon align in space, with Earth between the sun and moon. The Earth’s shadow falls on the full moon, darkening the moon’s face and turning it a coppery or Blood red. The moon travels its on path around the earth, but four times a year it aligns with the ecliptic, which is the orbit of constellations that we know as zodiac signs. When the moon aligns with the North or South Nodes a Lunar Eclipse in inevitable.
Flower Moon: It marks the blooming of flowers and the ending of spring in the Northern Hemisphere
Sagittarius In short, Sagittarius is a mutable, fire sign with a yang polarity, it is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of benevolence and expansion. In essence, the high vibration Sagittarius, ventures through life, bringing joy whilst delving deep into philosophies, and uncovering truths, collecting knowledge and sharing wisdom's. At a lower vibration, they get lost in their expansiveness, they become self-righteous and rigid in their beliefs with unwavering ideologies.
Gemini In short, Gemini is a mutable, air sign with a yang polarity, it is ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication and mental processors. In essence, the high vibration Gemini, is a skilled communicator, with a love for acquiring knowledge and a passion for sharing information. At a lower vibration, they are anxious and flights, scattered and mentally consumed.
Degrees: The constellations of the Zodiac are aligned on a 360 degree circle known as an Ecliptic. This ecliptic orbits around our Solar System and the planets, the asteroids, the Sun and our moon align with them in different positions.
Aspects: Essentially aspects are a fancy way of saying angles. In astrology these aspects impact the planets in different ways. It’s like a transfer of energy; In a trine (triangle, 120 degrees) its free flowing and easy, in a square (right angle, 90 degrees) there is a blockage or a difficult pathway that can be overcome with work, for an opposition (opposite, 180 degrees) there is opposing powers at play , a struggle if you will and a conjunction (beside, within 10 degrees) which means that they both impact one another that of which has the lesser degree is the one that takes over (in most cases, unless Saturn or the sun is involved, well really there are a few variables). There are more aspects that are impactful on energetic flow between planets, but these are the most important for you to know right now.
Super Flower Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius
On the 26th of May at 9:13pm AEST the Sun at 5° Gemini opposes the moon at 5° Sagittarius with the Earth placed directly between these entities. Naturally with the eclipse, the moon and the sun both conjunct the nodes at 6°.
Lunar Eclipses affect us all, as we are each governed moon. A lunar eclipse brings us home, to our family, and intimate relationships, it highlights what we need to release, uncovers what has been hidden from us and reveals what we ourselves, have hidden. With such sensitive subjects under the spotlight our energy becomes drained, and our emotions heightened. There is also an added stress with this particular Lunar Eclipse as seven planets are placed within mutable signs, and aspecting (bringing energy) to this astrological event, four of which are in air signs. Mutable energy brings with it an ever changing nature, and air signs adopt the analytical, mentally stimulated energy of Mercury (planetary ruler of Gemini and Virgo), which at the time of this eclipse is shadowing to station retrograde on the 29th of May, further adding to the internalising of thoughts and boosting the mental activity of us all.
When we see events like this unfold, its important to look at placement of the planetary rulers and aspects at play to get a better understanding of what is in store for us and how to best work with the energies in the sky, as above, so below. Sagittarius’s ruler, Jupiter is squaring both Gemini and Sagittarius at 1° of Pisces, which is known as a T Square. In most cases a T Square disrupts the energy, bringing blockages and hardships, but with the planet of benevolence in its historical sign of Pisces, softening the blow of overindulgence and over optimism and bringing expansiveness through the radiance of joy. Pisces modern ruler of Neptune is squaring the planet of love and idealisations, Venus and the planet of communication and technologies, Mercury (as it slows down to station retrograde), so be conscious in your expression and particularly in matters of the heart and if quarrels occur, steer clear of escapism of the mental or illicit kinds. Saturn is squaring Uranus and bringing its energy directly to this luminous event through a trine with the sun. Be open to unexpected events, flexible with unwanted changes and open minded with what appears to be challenging. Adding further powerful energy to this already formidable eclipse is the planet of transformation itself, Pluto, sending its high vibrational energy to help us make the changes, allow for the walls to crack and the light and blessings to flood in once the initial storm has passed.
So, in essence, what we are going to see unfold this over the next four to six months with this firecracker of a beginning to eclipse season (the first of four eclipses for 2021) is a shift of principles and clearing of rigid belief patterns that no longer serve us. It is a release of the old, to renew us at the most intimate of levels, our home, our relationships and our family.
We will see relationships ending and partnerships coming together for the very first time (even if married for many years). We will see joy radiate from the darkest of places. Whatever comes, allow it, what ever goes, let it, this moon is karmic and brings with it blessings for all.
The key message of this astrological event is to trust in the unfoldings and surrender to the greater plan.
Remember to ground yourself with a healthy regime and regular routine, alchemise with the anchoring energy of Virgo and surrender to nature by planting your feet firmly on the Earth.
This Super Flower Blood Moon Luna Eclipse in Sagittarius is most potent to those with mutable signs, Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo and Pisces, particularly those with planets within a five degree orb (1° - 10°) . It is also amplified for those with the Gemini, Sagittarius nodal axis.
Gemini Suns 1° - 10°, this is your Lunar Return eclipse, thus it will impact you for the next
year, so take care of your health, be conscious of this text and move forward with joy in every step.
